Exams and English Levels

We offer five different Cambridge / UCLES exams, two or three times a year. The levels of the various papaers are explained here. See below for mopre detailed information about each exam.

PET - Preliminary English Test, an intermediate test

FCE - First Certificate in English, an upper-intermediate test

CAE - Certificate of Advanced English, an advanced-level test

CPE - Certificate of Profifiency in English, a very advanced test

PET - Preliminary English Test

Preliminary English Test - Exam Papers

1.	Reading and Writing	90 minutes	50%
2.	Listening	30 minutes +12 minutes to transfer answers	25%
3.	Speaking	10 - 12 minutes	25%
This is the intermediate exam. It tests your ability to use English for everyday spoken and written communication.

FCE - First Certificate in English

First Certificate In English - Exam Papers

3.	Use of English	75 minutes	20%
4.	Listening	40 minutes (approximately)	20%

This is an upper intermediate exam. It tests your ability to communicate in English in a range of situations with confidence.

CAE - Certificate in Advanced English

This is an advanced level exam. If you need to use English in your work or studies this is the right exam for you.

CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English

This is a very high level exam. It is for those who have high-level skills and are able to deal with any English language situation that they might meet.
