We have a number of accommodation options to suit different lifestyles and budgets. Most are within easy reach of the school - a 40 minute walk at most.

Homestay - Full Board, Half Board or Self-catering
This is the option that most of our students prefer. You live with a British family in their home, sharing family meals
and experiencing British culture at first hand.
Our homestay hosts are families, couples and single people. We have chosen them for you
because they have clean, comfortable homes near the school, and they offer a friendly welcome to our students. We
want you to feel like you are one of the family. This is a great way to help you practise your English naturally and to discover real English culture.
We visit all our all our host families regularly to make sure that the accommodation that they offer is of the highest standard so you will
feel comfortable and at home.
When you arrive your host will show you how to get to school on the first morning. Most hosts live within 20-30 minutes
of the school on foot or by using public transport.
Most homestay families provide two meals a day, included in the price of your accommodation. You will have a private bedroom with somewhere for your clothes, and a table to work at.
Every day you can eat with the host at breakfast and in the evening, and you can have all meals
together at week-ends. We never put two students who speak the same language in the same home,
so you will have plenty of opportunity to practise your English and get to know more about the English way of life.
There are three possibilities for how you get your meals as follows:
Full-board: The family gives you breakfast, a packed lunch to eat at school and an evening meal together with their family.
Half-board: The family gives you breakfast and an evening meal. You will need to arrange and pay for your own food at lunchtime (there
are several good food shops near to the school.)
Self-catering: Students buy food and use the cooking facilities in the family home to cook their own meals.
Our Summer Residence - Full board
During the summer programme, full-board, half-board and self-catering accommodation are available at our summer residences. Here you will get breakfast,
lunch and an evening meal cooked for you so you don't have to worry about finding food at any time.
The residences are a maximum of ten minutes' walk away from the school so it is easy to get back there for your midday
meal during the one-hour lunch break.
Our adult residence is half board or full board under some circumstances. Self-catering residential accommodation is
available for trainees on the FTE summer teachers' refresher course.
One of the junior residences is in the buildings of Clifton College - one of the best and most exclusive private schools
in the area. So you can be sure that the quality of food and accommodation is very high. Another junior residence
is in Wesley College.
Student Hostels - Self-catering
If you are intending to study with The Language Project for 6 months or more, you may prefer to stay in a self-catering
student hostel near the school.
Here, you have your own room and use of a kitchen where you can cook all your own meals for yourself. Many long-term
students prefer this because it works out much cheaper and gives them the freedom to come and go as they please.
